Cubes after Leonardo

The cube has been a motif I’ve worked with for a long time; I often think this is because, when I was a child, an art historian friend explained to me that you can never see a cube, you can only understand what one is. I took this as a kind of thought exercise, much like a Buddhist koan. These prints are also loosely based on the well known notebook drawing of cubes by Leonardo da Vinci, which has inspired many artists.
